Solar energy – The easiest “set it and forget it” approach is a direct grid-tied solar PV system. This ties into the electrical grid with a two-way meter. Under typical conditions, you use the electrical energy you produce initially and automatically purchase from the grid-like normal the rest. When the sun is out and you aren’t using a lot of electrical energy, your excess electrical energy is offered back to the grid, which appears as a credit on your electrical bill.
